MARCH THEATER FEEDBACK

SOME STUDENTS AT U-W OSHKOSH ARE CALLING FOR THE REMOVAL OF FREDRIC MARCH’S NAME FROM THE CAMPUS THEATER.  U-W MADISON RESEARCHERS HAVE FOUND THAT MARCH WAS AN HONORARY MEMBER OF A GROUP AFFILIATED WITH THE KU KLUX KLAN.  NATHAN BOOKS FROM THE BLACK STUDENT UNION SAYS THAT HONOR IS NO LONGER WARRANTED. CHANCELLOR ANDREW LEAVITT SAYS THEY ARE REVIEWING THE MARCH INFORMATION AND NAMING PRACTICES OF THE U-W SYSTEM IN DECIDING WHETHER TO KEEP MARCH’S NAME ON THE THEATER.
