THE U-W OSHKOSH FOUNDATION WILL TAKE A SUBSTANTIAL LOSS ON ITS SALE OF THE FORMER CHANCELLOR’S HOUSE.  REAL ESTATE FILINGS SHOW THE FOUNDATION IS SELLING THE HOME ACROSS FROM THE PAINE ARTS CENTER FOR 340-THOUSAND DOLLARS.  THE FOUNDATION PAID FORMER CHANCELLOR RICHARD WELLS 450-THOUSAND IN 2013.  MORE THAN 62-THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF REPAIRS AND REMODELING WAS DONE SINCE THEN.
