NEENAH LAWSUIT COSTS

A WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUIT STEMMING FROM THE FATAL HOSTAGE SITUATION AT EAGLE NATION CYCLES COSTS THE CITY OF NEENAH 600-THOUSAND DOLLARS.  THAT IS THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID FOR LEGAL REPRESENTATION IN THE SUIT FILED BY THE WIDOW OF MICHAEL FUNK.  POLICE SHOT AND KILLED FUNK AS HE TRIED TO RUN FROM THE CYCLE SHOP WHILE ARMED WITH A GUN IN DECEMBER OF 2015.  BOTH STATE AND FEDERAL JUDGES HAVE DISMISSED THAT LAWSUIT.  THE CITY WILL HAVE TO PAY 100-THOUSAND OF THE BILL—WHILE LIABILITY INSURANCE WILL PICK UP THE OTHER HALF-MILLION.
