APPLETON WALMART SCARE

APPLETON POLICE DISPEL A RUMOR OF AN ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING IN A WALMART PARKING LOT.  FACEBOOK POSTS CLAIMED THAT A MAN STARTED BANGING ON A WOMAN’S DOOR AND TRYING TO GET INTO HER VEHICLE LAST WEEK.  AN OFFICER WENT TO THE PARKING LOT AND FOUND A MAN PANHANDLING.  HIS DESCRIPTION MATCHED THAT OF THE MAN THAT ACCOSTED THE WOMAN.  THERE WAS NO ATTEMPT TO ABDUCT ANYONE IN THE PARKING LOT.  APPLETON POLICE SAY DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
