MADISON BREWERY BOTTLE RECALL

A BREWERY IN MADISON IS RECALLING SOME OF ITS BOTTLES. KARBEN4 SAYS THE BOTTLES’ MANUFACTURER FOUND A FLAW IN ITS BOTTLES THAT COULD CAUSE A SMALL PIECE OF GLASS TO BREAK INTO THE BOTTLE, POTENTIALLY INJURYING PEOPLE DRINKING FROM THEM. THE RECALL APPLIES TO BOTTLES FILLED BETWEEN NOVEMBER 8TH AND DECEMBER 31ST. IF YOU HAVE ANY UNOPENED BOTTLES WITH A “BOTTLED ON” DATE WITHIN THOSE DATES, KARBEN4 SAYS YOU SHOULD BRING THEM BACK TO THEIR TAPROOM ON KINSMAN BOULEVARD IN MADISON. CONSUMERS WILL HAVE THE CHOICE TO RECEIVE EITHER A $10 REFUND, A FREE GROWLER WITH FILL, OR A T-SHIRT PER 6 PACK OR 12 PACK THAT THEY PURCHASED.

Un-settling the Science

While James Comey was sucking up all the oxygen in the room, there was a pretty major science announcement last week.  It turns out that the human species might be much older than we originally thought.  Fossils found in Morocco place our earliest ancestors on the planet as far back as 350-thousand years ago.  Until…

Open Week

Welcome to US Open week here in Wisconsin.  Many of you will be venturing down to Erin (or Hartford or Richfield–I’ve seen all three used to describe the location of the course in stories) for practice rounds the next three days–or for the competitive rounds Thursday through Sunday (and possibly Monday–more on that later).  Here…
