GRAND STREET SHOOTING

FOUR SUSPECTS ARE IN CUSTODY AFTER A 28-YEAR OLD MAN WAS SHOT IN THE CHEST IN OSHKOSH LAST NIGHT. THE OSHKOSH POLICE DEPARTMENT SAYS IT HAPPENED AROUND 11:15 P.M. ON THE 500 BLOCK OF GRAND STREET. THE VICTIM WAS TRANSPORTED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL WITH A NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURY. DESPITE BEING SHOT, THE VICTIM STILL PROVIDED INFORMATION TO POLICE AND THE FOUR SUSPECTS WERE EVENTUALLY TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP WAS MADE BY THE WINNEBAGO COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT ON INTERSTATE 41. ALL FOUR SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH 1 DEGREE ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE. POLICE BELIEVE THE VICTIM WAS TARGETED AND THERE IS NO THREAT TO THE PUBLIC.
