GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Last month’s debut of the EPIC Marathon & Running Festival has turned into a $25,000 donation for Feeding America, officials say.
According to a release from the EPIC Event Center, the entirety of the EPIC Marathon & Running Festival saw more than 2,000 participants, with 555 runners taking part in the marathon, 1,081 runners taking part in the half marathon, 536 runners taking part in the 5k, and 52 participants in the kids run.
We’ve always believed in the power of live events to bring people together—and this festival proved that the spirit of EPIC extends well beyond our stage. We’re excited to grow this tradition and continue making a difference.
Brian Stenzel, Vice President of EPIC Event Center
Along with the large number of participants in this year’s debut of the event, a $25,000 donation will be made to Feeding America on Tuesday, June 17, which officials say will commemorate the impact only made possible from everyone who “laced up and showed up.”
