BELOIT, Wis. (WFRV) – A 28-year-old Beloit man was taken into custody Tuesday morning following an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation and search warrant execution.
According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, around 5:30 a.m., the agency’s SWAT Team served a search warrant at a residence on Prairie Avenue in Beloit as part of the ICAC investigation.

During the operation, investigators identified a second location connected to the suspect, Joshua M. Rains of Beloit. He was arrested without incident while exiting the apartment, located within the 2100 block of Freeman Parkway.
A second search warrant was obtained and executed at that location.

Court records indicate Rains has not yet been formally charged, but authorities are recommending ten counts of possession of child pornography to the Rock County District Attorney’s Office.
