BRAZEAU, Wis. (WFRV) – The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shots-fired incident where one person was shot in the leg and another was arrested following a disturbance between a group of people.
Around 12:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, deputies with the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office say they were called to an incident involving a firearm in the 11000 block of Tom Post Road in the Town of Brazeau.

Authorities immediately responded, and based on an initial investigation, a disturbance broke out between several people at a residence in the area.
The suspect, a 39-year-old man, reportedly pointed a firearm at a 48-year-old man and allegedly shot him in the leg. Deputies say that both men were from Pound.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Oconto County Jail. The victim was transported to a hospital in Green Bay for treatment of his injury.

An ongoing criminal investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office.
