WAUSAU, Wis. (WFRV) – A popular neighborhood candy spot in central Wisconsin is officially for sale as The Chocolate Shop in Wausau has announced a search for new owners.
The Chocolate Shop in Wausau announced in a Facebook post that it is officially looking for new owners. The owners stated that they have recently decided to focus their time and energy on their other location, The Chocolate Café in downtown Wausau, and their Wholesale Chocolate Business.
“After years of growing this much-loved neighborhood spot, we’ve decided to focus our time and energy on our other location,” The Chocolate Shop’s Facebook post began. “So now, The Chocolate Shop is officially for sale.”

The owners clarified that The Chocolate Shop will remain open and will not be closing as it searches for new ownership of the South 3rd Avenue location.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to take over an established, turn-key chocolate shop with a loyal customer base, a unique self-service model, and a warm, welcoming vibe,” Officials with The Chocolate Shop stated. “Everything is in place for a smooth transition, and if the new owner wishes, we’re happy to guide and support you every step of the way.”
