71-year-old Shalhob is part owner of Italian restaurant in New York City called Rezdora. In a 2022 interview with NBC, he spoke about his love of food and what it was like growing up with 9 other siblings in Green Bay.
According to a press release from CNN, in the series, he travels the globe using bread as a symbol of unity, connecting with people from Brazil to Tokyo and sharing meals that highlight how food can bring people together.
It would be a full-circle moment, and a lot of fun, if Tony brought Breaking Bread to his hometown of Green Bay.
