(WFRV) – Two people in Wisconsin face a wide variety of charges in a pair of counties relating to a multi-state investigation regarding an alleged conspiracy to create poisons and kill two women.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation announced that Paul VanDuyne Jr. and Andrea Whitaker face numerous charges in Rock County and Dane County for the alleged attempted homicides.

According to the release, the two allegedly conspired to gather and/or create poisons in an attempt to murder two women with whom VanDuyne had previously been.
Both were charged in Rock County with the following, with modifiers listed:
- Three counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide
- Party to a crime and use of a dangerous weapon
- Aggravated battery
- Party to a crime and use of a dangerous weapon
- First-degree recklessly endangering safety
- Party to a crime and use of a dangerous weapon
- Stalking resulting in bodily harm
- Party to a crime and use of a dangerous weapon

Dane County also charged the two, with VanDuyne facing two counts of attempted intentional homicide in the first-degree with another count of stalking. Whitaker also faces two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime, with another count of harboring/aiding a felon.
