HARRIS, Mich. (WFRV) – Day one is in the books in the Upper Peninsula as the Island Resort Championship saw a clutter at the top of the leaderboard. Americans Amari Avery and Christine Wang both shot five-under par to hold a share of the lead following 18 holes.
Right below them is the only Michigan native to feature as a pro on the Epson Tour. Sarah White, who grew up in Grand Rapids, carded a 68 to sit just one back of the lead.
