MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Firefighters in Manitowoc responded to a detached garage fire Monday afternoon after a witness reported the structure was engulfed in flames.
According to the Manitowoc Fire Department, the call came in shortly before 4:30 p.m. for a reported structure fire in the 500 block of North 6th Street. Crews arrived to find smoke and flames showing from the garage.

Firefighters quickly deployed a hoseline to begin extinguishing the fire, while additional units established a second line to protect nearby structures and conduct salvage and overhaul.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials say the fire originated inside the structure. A damage estimate has not yet been determined.
