FORT ATKINSON, Wis. (WFRV) – An education company in Wisconsin announced an impending mass layoff of at least 30 workers in August.
Nasco Education LLC announced the layoffs via a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), informing officials that the mass layoff at its Fort Atkinson facility will occur on or around August 22, 2025.

According to the letter, the layoffs are expected to be permanent, and although they are not officially affecting 25% of the current 136 workers, further layoffs may occur in the future.
“Such subsequent layoff dates, if any, have not yet been determined and will depend on certain unpredictable business and economic factors,” the letter said. “This notice is being provided to you with at least 60 days’ advance notice for all affected employees.”
