MEEME, Wis. (WFRV) – A farm employee in Manitowoc County was killed on Tuesday morning after a silo reportedly collapsed while being dismantled as part of a project.
According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, officials were sent to the 11000 block of County Highway F in Meeme for a report of a silo collapse around 10:34 a.m.

Preliminary investigations state that the silos were being dismantled in a project, with one of them collapsing in the wrong direction and hitting a building.
A farm employee, identified as a man, was inside and trapped in the debris and was later pronounced dead on the scene.
