The latest from Storm Team 5…
Last weekend’s humidity was hard to ignore but that will finally break as we head into Tuesday night. Overnight temperatures will drop into the lower 60s with no rain expected. Dewpoints are expected to drop back into the comfy category, giving you a break from those muggy conditions.
Wednesday will start cloudy, but plan for rain showers and the slight possibility for some isolated rumbles of thunder for the afternoon through the overnight. The rain could be heavy at times. Temperatures will reach the lower 70s then once again drop to the lower 60’s in the overnight hours.
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected again Thursday, with highs in the middle to upper 70s. We should dry out in time for Friday, and highs will climb into the 80s again.
As the weekend arrives temperatures spike into the mid to upper 80’s with mostly sunny skies on Saturday but the return of showers and possible thunderstorms by Sunday. The muggy air will accompany this warm up as well.
We will continue to provide updates throughout the rest of the weekend as the heat continues.
