WAUPACA, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers in Waupaca say they will now be integrating the use of electronic bicycles into their police force.
According to a post on social media, officials with the Waupaca Police Department say adding the use of E-bikes allows officers to access parts of the city like parks, trails, and city events in a more effective way.
The addition of E-bikes to the department comes following a coordinated agreement between the Waupaca Police Department and Adventure Outfitters.
Officers say they are excited to interact with the public outside their normal way of patrolling. They add that they are also thankful for the community support that the department receives from local businesses in the area.
