ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a 23-year-old man early Friday morning near Argonne Park in Ashwaubenon.
According to Ashwaubenon Public Safety, the incident is believed to have occurred around 5 a.m. in the 2000 block of Argonne Street.

A male victim arrived at a local hospital around 5:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound and is currently listed in stable condition. Police were notified after the victim arrived at the hospital.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a disturbance occurred between the victim and another individual on the street near Argonne Park. During the altercation, a firearm was displayed and the victim was shot by an unidentified suspect.

Officials say the incident was not a random act, as the victim and suspect are known to each other. There is no ongoing threat to the community.
