MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – A popular Wisconsin hamburger restaurant that once gained national attention on the show ‘Food Wars’ has announced it will be closing later this year.
In a Facebook post, AJ Bombers in Milwaukee thanked customers for 16 years of support and said the time had come to say goodbye, but not without celebrating first.

“All good things must come to an end, but not before we celebrate hard,” the post read.
AJ Bombers rose to fame after defeating fellow Milwaukee favorite Sobelman’s in a burger showdown on the Travel Channel’s Food Wars.
Known for its burgers, local craft brews, and signature peanuts delivered via a unique system inside the restaurant, AJ Bombers became a staple of the downtown dining scene.
