MECAN, Wis. (WFRV) – After a pursuit in Marquette County, Wisconsin, reached speeds of nearly 140 mph, the driver was arrested on multiple charges.
Deputies with the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office say the incident began on Monday evening in the Town of Mecan when a deputy saw a vehicle roll through a stop sign.

Shortly after, the deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop on CTH C. However, the driver, later identified as Devin Schultz, allegedly accelerated and took off.
The release noted that during the pursuit, Schultz was clocked speeding at 137 mph.

Schultz was taken into custody after a successful tire deflation device made him come to a stop at a local car wash.
Schultz was taken to the Marquette County Jail on the following charges:
- Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
- Felony
- Attempting to Flee or Elude an Officer
- Felony
- Bail Jumping
- Felony
