The Latest from Storm Team 5…
A cluster of showers and storms are moving through the area this morning. None of those are severe, but a few have been seen containing downpours and cloud to ground lightning.
This round will exit mid morning, leading to a mixture of sun & clouds. High temperatures today will warm into the middle and upper 80s, lower 80s lakeside. Plan on it being muggy once again.
Later this afternoon and evening, we will be watching for more scattered showers and storms to move in along a cold front. While widespread severe weather is not expected, a storm or two could be strong to borderline severe with gusty winds, downpours and hail being the main impacts there.
Rainfall amounts 0.25-0.75″, would not be surprised if some isolated locations get around 1″ of rain.
Monday, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with a chance of some midday and evening t-storms. Highs will be in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s, with dew points on the uncomfortable side in the low to mid 60s.
This warm and muggy trend will continue for the rest of the week. Watching for a few rain and storm chances, even on the 4th, but no day is looking like a washout.
