(WFRV) – Two women were taken into custody after a 10+ mile chase in Fond du Lac County.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, on June 30, around 9:25 a.m., a deputy saw a vehicle with an equipment violation going northbound on I-41 near County Highway B. Authorities say the driver did not stop when the deputy tried to pull them over.
At one point, the vehicle stopped in the lane of traffic on Police Memorial Drive when the deputy saw the driver and passenger switch seats, the release said.

The vehicle then allegedly accelerated, which started a high-speed pursuit. A tire deflation device was used, which caused the vehicle to slow down and eventually drive into the ditch on I-41.
Authorities say both people fled on foot before being apprehended. The two were identified as women, both from the Keshena area.
It was mentioned that two deputies had minor injuries stemming from the incident. The chase reportedly spanned 10.6 miles, and there was no reported property damage to the sheriff’s vehicles.
