The Latest from Storm Team 5…
A weak mid level trough of low pressure was the source for a few spotty showers and storms this afternoon. Mentioning a chance for a spotty storm this evening, but the later we head past sunset, the lower our rain chances go without a source of daytime heating. Expect clearing skies tonight with a low in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Tomorrow will be a very nice day here in northeast. Finally a dry day with mostly sunny skies. High temperatures will work back into the low to mid 80s. Dew points will stay in check in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Wednesday will start sunny, but a front dropping in from the north will bring a chance for scattered showers and a few storms. High temperatures in the middle 80s.
Looking ahead, Thursday will be mostly sunny, warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s. Temperatures will start to rise for the holiday weekend into the upper 80s to near 90. Watching for a few isolated thunderstorms on the 4th, but a better chance for showers and storms will likely occur on Saturday.
