Officials say they were on the scene within three minutes and arrived to see all the occupants of the building safely evacuated, with light smoke seen coming from the home.
Crews then entered the home through the front door and encountered “moderate” smoke before finding and putting out a small fire in a corner involving kitchen materials.
A full search of the home’s upper level and basement was conducted and ventilated, leading to confirmation that the fire did not spread and there were no hazardous levels of carbon monoxide or hydrogen cyanide.
