(WFRV) – Wisconsin native Kon Knueppel was drafted fourth overall by the Charlotte Hornets in Wednesday’s first round of the NBA draft. The Wisconsin Lutheran graduate became the highest picked player from the Badger state in the modern draft era.
Kneuppel is the son of former UWGB hoops star Chari Nordgaard-Kneuppel, as well as the nephew to Green Bay men’s basketball standout Jeff Nordgaard. On Wednesday, both were in attendance in Brooklyn to watch the former Duke Blue Devil hear his name called.
Nordgaard stopped by the studio to join Sports Director Burke Griffin on Sports Xtra to chat about his nephew getting the opportunity to play the next level.
