(WFRV) – The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly making another massive move on Tuesday, but doing so by subtraction.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Bucks are waiving star guard Damian Lillard and stretching out the remaining $113 million on his contract to make room to sign Myles Turner.
The decision comes a little over two months after Lillard tore his left Achilles tendon against the Indiana Pacers, which rendered him out for not only the rest of the series, but likely for most, if not all, of the 2025-26 NBA season.

The Bucks will reportedly stretch out Lillard’s contract over the next five years, Charania said via social media. It will not impact their draft capital or assets.
Lillard spent two years in Milwaukee, helping superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and company win an NBA Cup in 2024-25 after spending the majority of his career in Portland.
