DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – State Senator Jamie Wall (D-Green Bay) announced on Tuesday that $30 million in funding listed in the 2025-27 state budget will go towards a new railroad bridge in De Pere.
According to a release, the bridge will be located at Red Maple Road between American Boulevard and Lost Dauphin Road. Sen. Wall said the bridge is an improvement to safety and preventing congestion.

“These funds will also directly reduce the cost for local property taxpayers in De Pere and throughout Brown County,” Sen. Wall said in a release.
The project, which doesn’t have an official completion date, will see about 25,000 vehicles per day, with the bridge separating vehicles from what is reportedly the most-used rail line in Brown County.
