The Latest from Storm Team 5…
It has been quite the nice summer day out there to open up our new month of July. The weather should stay quiet tonight with clear skies and low temperatures in the middle 60s.
Tomorrow will start with sunshine, but a cold front dropping in from the north will spark scattered showers and storms for the afternoon. A few could be on the stronger side, but severe threat looks low. Brief downpours, small hail and gusty winds would be the main threats there.
Expect high temperatures in the low to middle 80s and while it wont be sweltering, low to mid 60s dew points will make it feel a little humid. Overnight, clearing skies with a low in the middle 60s.
Thursday, mostly sunny, warm and humid with highs in the low to middle 80s.
Looking ahead to the 4th of July, a warm front with lift through the state and spark an isolated chance for a thunderstorm in the morning, but most of the holiday is looking dry, sunny and warm with highs close to 90. Chance for scattered showers and storms returns Saturday afternoon through Sunday.
