ALLOUEZ, Wis. (WFRV) – A new grocery store has bought the location previously operated by Sal’s Foods, and plans to open in October or November.
Healthy Way Market posted on its Facebook page that it will be opening a second location in the Green Bay area. The location is the old Sal’s Foods spot in Allouez.
Sal’s Foods closed in March. The post called the location a local landmark and is the last true corner grocery store in Green Bay.
Healthy Way Market mentioned Sal and Jessica at Sal’s Foods, the Small Business Development Center at UWGB and Nicolet National Bank in the post and thanked them for their support. The Healthy Way Market location in Sturgeon Bay will continue to operate.
The post said Healthy Way Market will build out the Green Bay area store and hope to open the doors in October or November.
It was also mentioned that this expansion will help strengthen Sturgeon Bay. Healthy Way Market thanked the Sturgeon Bay/Door County community and its amazing staff.
