GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – After a five-year playing career, fan favorite Jasmine Kondrakiewicz is officially joining the Green Bay women’s basketball program as an assistant coach and Director of Player Development.
Kondrakiewicz, who played from 2020 to 2025, appeared in 151 games for the Phoenix — tied for the most in program history. She scored over 1,100 career points and earned a reputation for her post moves and the energy she brought both on the court and from the bench.

“I think Jasmine is a home run hire,” head coach Kayla Karius told Local 5. “The fact that she wanted to get into coaching is something we talked about way early on. From that point, I started watching her — the energy she brought on the court, on the bench, and what a great teammate she was.”
Kondrakiewicz’s impact extended well beyond the hardwood, something Karius said made her the ideal cultural fit.
“I started seeing her interact with little girls in the community and any fan — she would take time to get to know them. She embodies what the Green Bay culture is all about,” Karius said.
Following the graduation of seven key seniors from last season’s Horizon League Championship team, Karius said she wasn’t initially sure if there’d be room on the staff. But she encouraged Kondrakiewicz to be patient.
“As soon as she got to graduation, if she was going to coach anywhere? Then she should definitely be coaching here,” said Karius. “I told her to hold out… I’m just thrilled to have added her to the staff.”
Kondrakiewicz is equally excited to stay in Green Bay.

“I’m deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to stay in Green Bay and join the coaching staff,” she said. “This place has become home and being able to continue serving a community and program that means so much to me is truly a dream come true. Go Phoenix!”
Green Bay finished the 2024-25 season with a 29-6 record and earned its 20th NCAA Tournament berth.
