When it comes to fireworks, keep a safe distance, only light one at a time, and never let them out of your sight.
“We see grill and fire injuries as well, where [people] may not be keeping track of what they are cooking. Maybe they are cooking on a deck and it’s unattended, and maybe there are holes and something leaks through, and now there’s a house fire,” stated Dr. Larsen. “So being safe and using your brain when you’re working through these things and staying hydrated and not leaving fires unattended.”
Also, keep an eye on sparklers as they can burn up to 2,000 degrees, and make sure to dispose of them in a water bucket when done.
