BASHAW, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in northwestern Wisconsin are warning residents of several washed-out roads in Washburn County, and video shows the massive damage caused.
On the morning of July 4, the Shell Lake Fire Department posted videos of several of the washed-out roads that are impacting the Town of Bashaw.
Heavy rain and severe flooding have damaged multiple roads near County Highway B, west of Shell Lake. As of 8:30 a.m., authorities say the roads affected are CTH B, Hector Dam Road, and Cadle Road.

An update was provided later in the day, saying that water is still high, and drivers are highly advised against driving in the area.

“For your safety and the safety of emergency responders, please avoid the area until further notice. Crews are assessing damage and working to secure the affected routes,” the Shell Lake Fire Department stated in its release.
