(WFRV) – As your Independence Day starts, we begin with partly cloudy skies and an increasing chance for showers and thunderstorms. That will hold through the afternoon but clear up as we head into the evening, just in time for any fireworks shows. Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s to the low 90s, and dewpoints in the low 70s create a very humid and muggy feel.
On Saturday, skies start partly cloudy but shift to mostly cloudy as we have an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms heading into the afternoon. Humid conditions are expected again with temperatures reaching the low 90s. As Sunday starts, we expect showers and the chances of thunderstorms to linger early in the day, but that should clear up heading into the evening. Sunday is also noticeably cooler with temperatures changing to the low 80s.
As your work week starts, we see temperatures hold in the lower 80s and mostly sunny skies. Tuesday through Thursday hold a low chance of rain and possible thunderstorms in the evening hours.
