IRON RIDGE, Wis. (WFRV) – Wisconsin based animal rescue groups are taking action after seeing severe flooding in Kerrville, Texas that left families, both people and animals, displaced and in urgent need of help.
For Blackberry Point Haven, this disaster hits especially close to home, according to a Facebook post. The founder of he organization once lived in Kerrville, making this tragedy more personal.

Blackberry Point Haven, along with End of the Leash, is collecting essential supplies to hand deliver to flood victims in Texas. Volunteers from the group will also be traveling to the area to help with cleanup, care, and anything else needed on the ground.
Supply donations are being accepted until Thursday, July 10th, with the team heading to Texas on Friday.
Drop-off locations include:
- Rubicon, WI – message the group directly for the address
- Elkhorn, WI – Pit Stop 67 (N6444 US Highway 12)
Hours: Mon/Tue after 5 PM, Wed/Thu after 11 AM - Mukwonago, WI – End of the Leash (325 Bay View Rd)

Most needed items:
- Personal care: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, razors, feminine hygiene products, adult diapers
- Cleaning supplies: Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, trash bags, mop and broom heads
- Baby needs: wipes, formula (ready-to-feed preferred), infant medicine
- Clothing: new socks and underwear (all sizes), flip-flops/slip-ons
- First aid: OTC meds (Tylenol, ibuprofen, allergy relief), insect repellent
- Pet supplies: dog/cat food, horse feed, pet beds

If you’re unable to donate items but still want to help, the group will be sharing Venmo and PayPal links soon. Every dollar will go toward buying extra supplies once they arrive in Texas.
“Let’s show Kerrville that even from hundreds of miles away, their neighbors in Wisconsin care and are ready to help,” the rescue shared on their Facebook post.
