NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – The Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue Department announced on Tuesday that it received $200,000 from the state to help support an improvement project of one of its Regional Training Grounds.
According to the release, Representative Dean Kaufert facilitated the investment to fund improvements to Station 31, as part of what the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue called a commitment to modernizing and expanding its training facilities.

The full project features a new and National Fire Protection Association-compliant training tower and expanded infrastructure. The existing tower will be converted into a fire investigation training prop.
The release added that these upgrades will improve firefighter readiness and coordination between agencies, along with supporting compliance with modern standards.
“This project is an outstanding example of what can happen when different levels of government—local, county and state—come together to prioritize public safety,” Chief Travis Teesch said via the release.
