(WFRV) – Police in California arrested a driver for DUI after seeing an open container of alcohol in the cup holder, but not before finding over 70 empty beer cans in the vehicle.
The Cotati Police Department posted on its Facebook page about a recent arrest that happened on June 29. The release says a driver was seen struggling to stay in their lane and was subsequently pulled over.
During the traffic stop, officers reportedly saw that the driver had an open container of alcohol in the cup holder. It was later determined that the driver was over three times the legal limit, police said.

It was mentioned the driver had a .25% blood alcohol content and was arrested for DUI and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license due to prior DUI.
Officers reportedly searched the vehicle after the driver was arrested and found over 70 empty beer cans.
