GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A 45-year-old Green Bay woman accused in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend was in court on July 7 for an arraignment.
Court records show that Tonia Piontek appeared in custody with her attorney as she pleaded not guilty to first-degree intentional homicide by use of a dangerous weapon and domestic violence.
Piontek’s plea hearing is set for October 2 at 9:15 a.m.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A Green Bay woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend appeared in court Thursday for her preliminary hearing.
Court records show that 45-year-old Tonia Piontek appeared alongside her attorney on May 16. She is scheduled to return to court for arraignment on July 7 at 11:15 a.m.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A Green Bay woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend in the neck appeared in court on Tuesday and waived the time limits for a preliminary hearing.
Court records show that 45-year-old Tonia Piontek appeared with her attorney on April 29 for a status conference. The court scheduled her preliminary hearing for May 15 at 9:30 a.m.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A woman from Green Bay was officially charged with homicide after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the neck.
On April 13, officers with the Green Bay Police Department were sent to a possible stabbing at a residence in the 1300 block of Smith Street. When officers got to the scene, a man was found with a knife sticking out of his neck with a large pool of blood, the criminal complaint said.

Tonia Piontek, 45, was at the scene and was detained by the responding authorities.
A witness at the scene reportedly told officers they heard arguing between Piontek and the victim, followed by stomping, door slamming and what they thought was a physical disturbance.
Later that day, a detective interviewed Piontek, and she showed what appeared to be dark bruising on her forearms, the complaint said. She then reportedly told the detective that she would not talk before speaking with an attorney.
The transcript of the 911 call allegedly made by Piontek was included in the complaint. Piontek started the call by saying ‘I just stabbed my boyfriend, I don’t think he’s okay someone needs to get here now!,’ according to the criminal complaint.
During that call, she said she and her boyfriend were fighting, the complaint said. The transcript also shows that Piontek said both the victim and she were drinking that day.
Piontek is charged with:
- First degree intentional homicide, use of a dangerous weapon, domestic abuse assessments
- Felony
- Up to life in prison
Court records show Piontek is scheduled to be in court on April 15 for her initial appearance. Her cash bond was set at $1 million and is scheduled to be back in court on April 29 at 2 p.m.
