(WFRV) – Starting next week, officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol say they will be kicking off their ‘Trooper in a Truck’ campaign throughout the Badger State.
The ‘Trooper in a Truck’ campaign comes through a partnership between the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association.

The campaign will have troopers ride along with semi-truck and bus drivers as a way to give the troopers a higher vantage point, allowing them to easily spot violations such as speeding, reckless driving, distracted driving, and seat belt violations.
After spotting any of the mentioned violations, the trooper on the truck or bus will radio to any patrol cars in the area, allowing them to respond with the appropriate enforcement action.
