APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – While the Board of Directors is in attendance for an official meeting this weekend, that didn’t stop some furry and fluffy friends from stealing the show ahead of the busy schedule.
The Alliance of Therapy Dogs is in Appleton this weekend for the Annual Meetings for the Board of Directors. The weekend allows the team to discuss policies and rules to address trends and other needs that the organization has seen nationwide.

But the weekend kicked off on Thursday, with some time for local therapy dogs coming to meet with the Board during a lunch hour, and they were certainly a delight for all in attendance.
“We usually have a director or two that brings a dog,” President Don Vaughn said. “For those who don’t bring their dogs, we’re used to spending time with them, so it’s helpful to have a little bit of dog time.”
