The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Good morning! Today should be mostly sunny with high temperatures running up into the upper 70s and lower to middle 80s. Dew points won’t be too bad out there in the upper 50s and low 60s, so calling it a touch humid.
The story today is the wildfire smoke. It moved in yesterday on the backside of a cold front, and with high pressure moving in, that will likely bring in more concentrations of near-surface smoke.
If you are sensitive to the smoke, make sure to limit time outdoors. An AIR QUALITY ALERT is in effect for the entire state until Monday at 12 p.m., and based on the forecast, it very well could be extended.
Tomorrow, we see the return of summer time heat and humidity as highs reach the middle and upper 80s with dew points in the middle to upper 60s. Sunshine will be mixed with wildfire smoke at times, so once again, another day to take it easy if you are sensitive to the smoke, especially north and west of Green Bay.
Tuesday will be sunny, warm, and humid once again, and rain and storms should hold off until we get into the late evening and especially for the overnight hours. Our better rain and storm chance is Wednesday, and we will see our temperatures tumble below average into the low 70s for the first time in a while.
