JUNEAU, Wis. (WFRV) – Gary Day, a man from Arkansas, pleaded not guilty in Dodge County Court after being accused of kidnapping a pregnant teenager from Beaver Dam.
A phone hearing is scheduled for October 7th.
He faces two counts of child abduction and two counts of child enticement. 40-year-old Day is also charged with several federal crimes. These include having sex with someone 16 or younger, transporting a child for sex, and four other charges related to child pornography.
Day was arrested after an AMBER Alert was issued for a 17-year-old girl from Beaver Dam, who is pregnant with his child.
The criminal complaint says Day and the girl began talking online in April 2024. The girl was 16 at the time. She lived with Day in Arkansas for several months, while her parents believed she was staying with a friend in Beaver Dam. Day picked her up in Wisconsin and took her to Arkansas in July 2024.
In December 2024, Arkansas police told the girl’s family where she was, and she came home. However, Day and the girl allegedly started talking again in January. Day was even seen on the family’s home security camera on the morning of February 3.
