WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis. (WFRV) – A charitable golf outing in Wrightstown on Tuesday raised money for the Beja Hospital Transportation Fund, which seeks to help local families have safe access to Shriners Children’s hospitals to get specialized care.
The Beja Shriners Charity Golf Outing teed off from Royal St. Patrick’s Golf Links at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, with plenty of golfers and locals in attendance for a ‘charity scramble.’

The event provided attendees with the chance to have a fun day of golfing while also supporting local families and Shriners Children’s hospitals.
Past Potentate Eugene Reece said it’s the 23rd year of doing this outing in the Green Bay area, and the transportation fund takes kids wherever they need to go. Even though the golfing is for charity, it’s still competitive between the attendees.
“The majority of transports from northeast Wisconsin go to either our Chicago Shriners Children’s or the Twin Cities,” Reece said. “This is more of a fun event, but they are competing, and at the end of the day, the top three groups get medals.”
