HALE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in western Wisconsin say one driver suffered only minor injuries Tuesday night after falling asleep and crashing into a tree.
According to a release from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 8:18 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 53 near Arts Road in the Township of Hale.

Officials say the single-vehicle and the lone occupant of the vehicle were heading south on Highway 53 when the driver allegedly fell asleep, left the roadway, and crashed into a tree.
The driver, 23-year-old Raeann Hamilton from Eau Claire, was taken by ambulance for treatment of only minor injuries.
