PULASKI, Wis. (WFRV) – Thousands of people are expected to descend upon the village of Pulaski this weekend as Pulaski Polka Days returns for its 46th year.
The four-day celebration runs Thursday through Sunday and draws visitors from around the world to enjoy what organizers call some of the best polka music anywhere.

The festival lineup includes a community night, arts and crafts fair, dance lessons, the Ms. Pulaski Polka Days contest, worship services, a pancake and porkie breakfast, a garden walk, a cash raffle, and the popular Pulaski Polka Days Parade.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 20, and travels north on St. Augustine Street before heading west on Pulaski Street to the Pulaski Polka Grounds. Candy and other small items will be handed out along the route, but organizers remind participants not to throw anything from floats for safety reasons.
Community Night kicks off Thursday with a night of dancing and fireworks at dusk. After storms rolled through on Wednesday, Thursday evening is expected to bring ideal weather for the event.
Festivalgoers will also have the chance to enjoy traditional Polish cuisine, which plays a key role in the weekend’s festivities. From pierogis to Polish sausage and cabbage rolls, ethnic food will be served throughout the weekend.

Live music will fill the festival grounds with performances across two tents and one indoor stage. For a full schedule of performers, visit the Pulaski Polka Days website.
As organizers like to say, “To dance is human, but to polka is divine.”
