GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – In an unexpected twist to their day, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department answered a unique call this afternoon, rescuing a seagull named Steven.
The bird was found hanging from a rooftop, tangled in fishing line and unable to free himself. Crews from Engine 8 and Truck 2 responded quickly to the scene, according to a Facebook post from the department.
Using precision and care, they safely cut the fishing line and freed the distressed bird. Thanks to their fast action, Steven was unharmed and released, getting a second chance at life.
