APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – U.S. Venture Children’s Week will return for its 16th year from July 20 through July 26, 2025, offering a full week of free and reduced-cost activities for families throughout the community.
Organized in collaboration with the Building for Kids Children’s Museum, Appleton Parks and Recreation Department, and the Appleton YMCA, the event is designed to celebrate children and provide opportunities for families to engage in fun, creative, and wellness-focused experiences.

The week will begin with a Kids Fun Run and color run at Memorial Park. Later in the week, families can enjoy the YMCA’s Rock the Block Party in downtown Appleton, featuring music, games, and food.
The annual Children’s Parade, presented by ThedaCare, invites participants to march through downtown Appleton in costumes and non-motorized floats, followed by an after-party in City Park.
The Playground Fair, hosted at Pierce Park, offers carnival-style games, giant inflatables, food, and entertainment across two afternoons.
In addition to these signature events, families can participate in a wide range of programming throughout the week, including free storytimes, swimming, museum visits, karate classes, dance sessions, and more.
Local organizations across the Fox Valley will also offer various family-friendly activities, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
