UPDATE: Lanes on I-41 south in Oshkosh reopen after crash near WIS 26
Officials on the scene say the semi was found crashed up against the sidewall of the bridge and blocking the lane of traffic. During the crash, the diesel fuel tank appeared to have split open, with fuel beginning to run down the bridge into the storm sewer.
Boom and oil dry were placed to contain the fuel until Blystone could arrive and begin the removal process. Pads were also applied to absorb fuel off the roadway and out of puddles. A small amount of fuel was reported to have gotten into the river, but the majority of the fuel was contained and removed. No other hazards were said to be found on the scene.
Officials say the driver of the semi truck was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
