The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
A cluster of some showers and weak thunderstorms will be moving into our area this morning to around midday. The severe weather risk is low with this first round. Lightning, thunder, and a few embedded downpours are possible.
A second round of thunderstorms will form between 5pm and 11pm, generally north of the Fox Cities into the northwoods. The risks with any storm in this timeframe be strong straight-line winds and heavy rain, and a secondary risk is a chance for an isolated tornado.
In between the rounds of storms, some afternoon sunshine will propel temperatures into the upper 80s and low 90s. We are going have humidity off the charts with dew points in middle 70s which will prevent your body from cooling off easily. That will make air temperatures around 90 degrees feel like it’s actually around 100 degrees or a little higher.
The National Weather Service has issued a HEAT ADVISORY for the southern half of the area from noon until 8pm this evening with the outstanding heat index values planned later in the day.
