(WFRV) – The National Weather Service has confirmed two additional tornadoes touched down during Wednesday evening’s severe weather outbreak in northeast Wisconsin, bringing the total to three.
In addition to the EF-1 tornado that hit near Keshena in Menominee County, survey crews say an EF-1 tornado struck near Gillett and an EF-0 tornado touched down near Oconto.
Officials say all ratings are preliminary and could be updated as more data is reviewed. Crews are still evaluating damage from the southern cell, which also showed signs of rotation.
While a tornado was initially believed to have touched down near Lena, no damage has been found in that area so far. However, assessments are ongoing, and a fourth tornado may still be confirmed.
